After performing the data backup, i followed the hp recovery manager instructions for recovery of the operating environment. the environment was rebuilt successfully, but returned to the original windows 8.. From the description you backed up with hp application and it failed to perform a restore now. as it is a third party application, it is recommended to directly contact hp for this issue. i noticed that hp provided a forum specifically for hp recovery manager.. Insert the usb recovery key into a usb 3.0 port on the left-side to perform a recovery process.. The hp recovery manager software is not compatible with many usb storage devices larger than 32gb. hp recovery manager displays the total size of the source files when going through the creation process. you can stop at this screen during the creation process to know what size of storage device you should use..
