Update- i did eventually get windows 10 on the toshiba encore. it was awhile ago so my memory of exactly how to do it may not be 100%. i am happy with windows 10 on this device, it works well in my opinion.. The encore 7 simply does not have enough storage space to install windows 10. even with downloading window 10 to an micro sd card instead of the c: drive, there isn't enough space to complete the. Unlike some oems offering windows 10 devices now, the toshiba encore 10 and encore 10k will go on sale only in mid-september. the encore 10 will go from $299 to $399, depending on whether you want.
Update: toshiba has updated windows 10 drivers for encore 2 write link to drivers so i think it is safe to upgrade now.-----original thread: i upgraded my encore 2 write wt8pe-b to windows 10 currently, the front camera and wireless adapter do not work.. The rest of the six tablets of the encore and satellite click family, from the 7-inch toshiba encore mini to the larger 10.1-inch toshiba encore 2 write will all get the a full windows 10 upgrade for their individual tablet on july 29.. Guys i'm having more second thoughts about the upgrade. specially since i read we cant turn off online updates in windows10. which is bad when your travelling or on a bad internet contract and windows wants to do huge updates in the background..
